Dr George Dekoulis received a first class BEng (Hons) in Communications Engineering from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK, in 2001. He joined the Space Plasma Environment and Radio Science Group at Lancaster University in 2001. He has received several research awards from STFC, UK and EPSRC, UK and the “IET Hudswell International Research Scholarship”. He was awarded a Ph.D in 2007 for the research and development of several Space Plasma Physics Instruments. He is currently a professor in Computer Science and Engineering at Frederick University in Nicosia, Cyprus. He has worked as Research Associate in ARIES and Technical Support Engineer in IRIS at Lancaster University, as R & D Electronic Systems Design Engineer for Electromech Ltd. in Leicester, UK and as Telecommunications Engineer for OTE, Greece. He is researching and developing Space Plasma Physics Instruments using state-of-the-art all-digital computer architecture technologies.
