She is a Assist.Prof.Dr. in the Department of Computer Engineering at the Okan University in Istanbul, Turkey. She received her B.S. degree in electronics and communications engineering from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul and M.S. degree in medical informatics from Akdeniz University, Antalya,Turkey. She received her Ph.D. in medical informatics in 2011 from Middle East Technical University. She worked at Bilisim LTD. Company, the Computer Center of Akdeniz University, Antalya, the Computer Center of Hacettepe University Hospitals, Ankara, Turkey respectively. She visited biomedical text mining research group at EBI (European Bioinformatics Institute), Cambridge, United Kingdom. Her research areas are biomedical data and text mining and machine learning. She is a member of Turkish Medical Informatics Association.
