Biography
Professor Babulak is international scholar, researcher, consultant, educator, professional engineer and polyglot with more than twenty five years of teaching experience and industrial experience as a professional engineer and consultant. Held Visiting Professorships in Information Technology in Vancouver, BC, Canada and works as Expert-Evaluator for the European Commission in Brussels. He served as a Chair of Academic Affairs Committee, Chair of the IEEE Vancouver Ethics, Professional and Conference Committee, Mentor and Senior member of IEEE and ACM.
Prof. Babulak worked as Full Professor and Head of MIS Department in Cyprus, Visiting Professor in Telematics Engineering, Informatics and Computing at the Universities in Spain, Czech Republic and Rimouski, Quebec, Canada. In the past, he worked as Senior Lecturer of Computing in UK, Associate Professor of Computer Science in California and Lecturer of Computer Engineering in Pennsylvania, USA. He also worked as University Lecture of Mathematics, Teaching Assistant Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computing Science in Canada, Germany, Austria as well as, College Instructor in Czechoslovakia.
He completed his postdoctoral Habilitation Work and Lecture on Quality of Service in Information Technology and was awarded higher doctoral Dr.-Habil., degree in the Czech Republic. He earned his undergraduate Dipl.Ing., degree in Czechoslovakia. He earned his High National Certificate (HNC) in computer-aided engineering, a Master of Science degree (MSc) in information systems and his doctoral degree (PhD) in the United Kingdom.
His academic and engineering work was recognized internationally by the Engineering Council in UK, European Federation of Engineers and credited by the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers in Canada. Prof. Babulak is Editor and Guest Editor. His research interests are in Future Networks and Ubiquitous Computing and QoS, E-Commerce, E-Health, IT, MIS, Applied Informatics in Transportation, E-Manufacturing, Human Centric Computing, E-Learning, Automation and Applied Mathematics.
Professor Babulak speaks 14 languages, Fellow of RSA and the British Computer Society, a Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineering Technology, Professional Member of American Society for Engineering Education, American Mathematical Association and Mathematical Society of America. Professor Babulak's biography was selected for citation in the Cambridge Blue Book 2005, the Cambridge Index of Biographies 2004-2005, the Dictionary of International Biography 2004, published by the Cambridge Centre of International Biographies, Who's Who in the Science and Engineering 2003, 2005-2006, 2008-2009, Who is Who in the Industry and Finance 2004-2005, 2006-2007, Who is Who in the World, and Who's Who in America.
