Biography
Dr. Tayfun NESIMOGLU:
received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus in 1996, the M.Sc. degree in Mobile, Personal and Satellite Communications from the University of Westminster, U.K. in 1997, and the PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol, U.K. in 2002. His doctoral research concerned novel amplifier linearization techniques for broadband mobile communication systems and software radio.
From 2001 to 2006, he was employed as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate and as a Research Fellow by University of Bristol on a number of European Union collaborative (IST-TRUST&SCOUT, FP6) projects and on two industrial projects sponsored by Toshiba-Japan. His research interests include RF hardware, amplifier, mixer design and linearization, broadband transmitter/receiver front-end architectures and software radio enabling technologies. He has presented these research topics at international conferences, authored and coauthored numerous technical papers, filed international patents and also reviewed several papers for IEEE and IET conferences and journals. He is currently employed as lecturer at Middle East Technical University, Northern Cyprus Campus (METU-NCC).
