Mohammad Hakkak obtained the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, USA in 1971. Since then, he served as a faculty member and Head of Electrical Engineering Department at Baghdad University, Senior Researcher and Head of Transmission Department at the Iran Telecom Research Center and a faculty member of Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran where he is now a Professor of Electrical Engineering. He has taught and researched microwave antennas, radiowave propagation, passive microwave components, satellite communication, small satellite technology, earth station technology and mobile communications.
Prof. Hakkak has published more than 160 journal and conference papers, and organized many national and international conferences, particularly the series of the International Symposium on Telecommunications. He is now a Fellow of IET and Senior Member of IEEE.
