Since 2010, Miklos Molnar is with the IUT, University Montpellier 2 and he is a full professor in the Department of Computer Science. He was graduated at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University BME of Budapest in 1976. He joined the Computer Center of BME as researcher. In 1989 he was invited at INSA of Rennes, in France. Miklos Molnar received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Rennes 1 in 1992 and the French HDR degree (accreditation to supervise research) in 2008. He is taking part in research of network design and optimization algorithms and tools in the laboratory LIRMM of Montpellier. His main research activity is in combinatorial optimization and management algorithms for networks. His research results are mainly from the following domains: efficient heuristics for NP-hard optimization problems, heuristics for the Steiner problem, constrained spanning problems, routing algorithms for unicast, incast and multicast communications, dependable communications, routing in optical and in wireless networks, energy aware protocols and optimization.
