Biography Zdenek Kolka was born in Brno, Czech Republic, in 1969. He received the M.Sc. degree in 1992 and the Ph.D. degree in 1997, both in Electrical Engineering, from Brno University of Technology. In 1995 he joined the Institute of Radio Electronics, Brno University of Technology, where he has been appointed Associate Professor. His research and teaching interests are in free-space optics, computer-aided design of electronic circuits, modeling, and numerical algorithms.
