I was born in Adana, Turkey. I got BSEE and MSEE degrees from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 1989 and 1993, respectively. Then I continued doctoral studies at Clemson University, Clemson, SC, USA and got the PhD in EE degree from Clemson Univ. in 1997. I have been affiliated with Mersin University for more than 12 years. My research interests include the Control, Robotics and Automation area with a special focus on nonlinear control of electromechanical and robotic systems. Recently, I am studying on measurement- instrumentation in agriculture and renewable energy generation systems focusing on wave energy. I am a Senior Member of IEEE.
