Imad Zyout, born in Judaitta-Jordan in 1976, received the BSc and MSc degrees in 1999 and 2005 from Jordan University of Science & Technology, Irbid, Jordan, all in electrical engineering. He earned his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, in 2010. Between 2000 and 2006, he was working for Trading Medical Systems Est. (TOSHIBA)-Jordan as a biomedical engineer in the medical imaging field. His research interests are in wavelet-based image coding, morphological image processing, feature extraction, heuristic feature selection, and machine learning including the development of efficient algorithms for compression, segmentation, and pattern recognition of mammograms. Currently, he is a lecturer in Electrical Engineering Department at Tafila Technical University, Jordan.
