Angel Barriga Barros received the degree in physic from the University of Seville in Spain in 1984, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Seville in 1986 and 1989. Since 1984 he was been with the Department of Electronics and Electromagnetism at the University of Seville, where he is employed as Full Professor. Currently he is also at the Microelectronic Institute of Seville from the National Microelectronic Centre of Spain where he is the leader of the research group called "Digital and Mixed Signal Design". Member of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) and European Society Fuzzy Logic and Technology (EUSFLAT). His current research interest are in areas such as design methodologies of VLSI integrated circuits, in particular, CMOS digital circuit design, digital implementation of neuro-fuzzy systems, and CAD tools for fuzzy logic based systems. He is author of something about near to two hundred publications in books, magazines, and congresses. He has taken part in numerous research projects (national and european founded projects) as well as industrial development contracts.
