Biography Hafiz M. Asif received his PhD in Communication Systems from Lancaster University, UK in 2012. Before, he completed his MS degree in Computer Engineering and BSc Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in 2002 and 2007 respectively. He worked at HW Communications Ltd., Lancaster, UK for about 1 year as trainee engineer on different research and development projects. He is currently working at Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman as Assistant Professor. He is also a Chartered Engineer (CEng) certified by the IET, UK office. His research areas include visible light communication, space time block codes, wireless communication systems, IoT and computer networks.
