Biography
Moustafa Hussein received his Ph.D. (Optical Fiber Performance) at Faculty of Engineering, University of Alexandria, Egypt (1987). After post doctorate studies at Strathclyde University, Scotland, UK, (Optoelectronics) (1989), he returned to his home university in Alexandria, Egypt and initiated research (academic) on the field of fiber optics and optical communications. Moustafa joined Arab Academy at 2004 and now, he serves as Assistant Dean for Education and Research Affairs, College of Engineering, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. Prof. Moustafa has more than 120 publications and supervised 49 M.Sc. students and 8 Ph.D. students in the indicated field. Prof. Moustafa shared as a member in the in the steering committee of the International Forum for Maritime Transport, held by Port Training Institute, Arab Academy, in 2009 and 2010.
