Dr. Mohamad Aoude was born in Beirut, Lebanon. He entered the faculté de génie a Beirut where he received a B.E. degree in telecommunications engineering with highest honors from Lebanese University in Beirut, in 1997. In 1998 and 2003, he received respectively a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. degrees with highest honors, both in telecommunications, from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST) in Paris, France. While pursuing his Ph.D., he was a research assistant in the communications department at the ENST Paris, France, working on the OFDM for the UMTS and Hyperlan2 networks. From 2003 to 2005, he joined many Lebanese universities as assistant professor teaching in the field of communications and networks. Since October 2005, he is assistant professor and chair of the computer and communications department at the Lebanese international university Beirut, Lebanon. His research interests include information theory, signal processing and 3G wireless communications and beyond, Physical layers and cross-layer design and resource optimization in wireless systems, cooperative networks and MIMO systems. He has published several international journal and conference papers in this area and worked in collaboration with some academic and industrial partners.
