Biography
This research present the application of zigbex wireless sensor or actuator network (WSAN) home alarming system for air conditioning. Zigbex is the Wireless Sensor Network technology to substitute wired sensors and actuators. The main aim of this research is to implement a WSAN for air conditioning system that based on temperature. Measurement level of temperature was used to give information to consumer about air conditioning condition in using the zigbex. The sensor node sends the gathered value sensed wirelessly by broadcasting the packet to neighbour node which is the actuator node and base node. The packet received in base node was then forward to serial port where the data sensed was display on the oscilloscope GUI on a PC. Whilst, the actuator node received packet transmits from sensor node and extract the data from the packet. When the sensor sensed achieve to the desired temperature for air conditioning, the actuator node would activate the alarm. This research focus on the temperature/humidity sensor that will be used as main component or part for the system to operate. The sensor is controlled by zigbex and its programmed by NesC coding program.
