Alireza Baghai-Wadji is a professor of electronic and computational eng at RMIT Univ, School of Elect and Comp Eng, Melbourne, Australia, and an international rep of his univ in the Far- and South East Asia, and in the Middle East. Since 2005 he has represented his uni in these regions in matters related to education and research. He is also a distinguished Prof at the Centre of Electromagnetic Simulation, Beijing Inst of Tech, Beijing, China. He has received his MSc (communication eng), PhD (comp electronics), and Doctor of Science (physical elect) in 1984, 1987 and 1994, respectively, from Vienna Uni of Techn (VUT), Austria. In 2003 he was awarded Doctor of Science in quantum elect and materials science from Helsinki Uni of Techn (HUT), Finland. He has lived and worked on four continents: visiting Prof at HUT (2009); visiting scientist at the Max Planck Inst. (Quantum Optics), Germany, (2009); consultant to EPCOS, Germany (since 2004); visiting Prof at HUT for (1999, 2000, and 2004); Nokia fellow in (2000); visiting Prof at the Inst. for High Perform. Comp in Singapore and at the Inst. for Math Sciences (IMS) in Singapore (2003). He was three times the recipient of the Austrian Kurt Goedel research fellowship and spent ten months at the UCI USA (1990-1992); he was adjunct Prof in the Dept of Stat and Math at the ASU, USA (1995-2004); principal eng consultant with Motorola, Scottsdale, Arizona, USA (1994-1999); principal eng consultant with Siemens Matsushita, Austria (1990-1994); consultant with Siemens, Germany (1983-1990). He is honorary member and fellow of The Electromagnetic Academy, USA and is listed in Who's Who in Electromagnetics, USA. He is also listed in Marquis Who's Who in the World. Since 1997 he has been an associated editor, and twice a guest editor for IEEE-UFFC Trans. More than 170 publications in reviewed journals and conf proc, and more than 80 invited speeches internationally, one patent in USA, and 21 short courses internationally.
