Title A Linear Transmitter Architecture Using Class-E Switching Power Amplifiers
Authors Dr. Tayfun Nesimoglu, Middle East Technical University, Northern Cyprus Campus, North Cyprus, Turkey
Abstract In this paper, problems associated with using class-E amplifiers in transmitters are explained and demonstrated. A transmitter architecture based on envelope elimination and restoration technique is proposed to enhance the linearity and efficiency performance. It is demonstrated by simulated results that that the proposed architecture may provide better linearity and efficiency than conventional elimination and restoration transmitter if the oversampling, delay matching and bandwidth requirements are satisfied.
