In next generation networks, new settlement models
between providers are expected to start up. It appears that quality of service differentiation will not provide a suitable economic framework for the trade-off between quality delivered by the SP and willingness to pay from the user’s side. In this paper, besides defining quality of service parameters, we also define quality of experience and quality of business parameters for modelling the competition between two service providers offering the same service. We consider inelastic users for analyzing price setting. The proposed model is based on Cournot game and is analyzed through numerical results.
