Mobile Phones, Mobile Stations and Human Health |
Summary | In recent years, mobile telecommunication has been developed considerably. As mobile telephony leads to widespread electromagnetic field exposure, concerns about the safety of using mobile telephones have been increased as well. The focus of this tutorial will be on the following issues: Are mobile phones safe? What are the possible risks? How can we reduce these risks (if any) and what precautions need to be taken? What are the possible health risks from mobile phone base station antennas? Is it safe to live or work on the top floor of a building that has a mobile phone base station antenna on it? Are there any safety guidelines and what precautions need to be taken when working around mobile phone base station antennas? |
