This paper presents the design of multiplierless decimation filter for a rational sampling rate conversion (SRC). The method is based on a FIR (finite impulse response) multiband filter design. Coefficients of multiband filter are rounded to the nearest integers. Considering that the integer coefficients can be realized with only shift-and-add operations, the rounded filter is a multiplierless filter. The cascade of rounded multiband filters is used to improve the overall magnitude characteristic. Efficient structure is provided by the polyphase decomposition.
