This research is basically related to the simulation and studying the properties of the photovoltaic device. The important parameters affecting the performance of the heterojunction CdTe/ CdS solar cell , thickness of each layer ,operating temperature. This can be done by using the simulation program SCAPS – 1D version 3.2.00. The variation in thickness of solar layers causes variation in output performance. This work explored the important controllable parameters should be taken into account when designing the solar cell.
