Mohammad Reza Soleymani received the B.S. degree from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 1976, the M.S. degree from San Jose State University, San Jose, CA, in 1977, and the Ph.D. degree from Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 1988, all in electrical engineering.
From 1987 to 1990, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McGill University, Montreal. From October 1990 to January 1998, he was with Spar Aerospace Ltd., Montreal, QC, Canada, where he had a leading role in the design and development of several satellite communication systems. In January 1998, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Concordia University, where he is a Professor. His current research interests include wireless and satellite communications, information theory and coding.
