Katsumi Sakakibara received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in Communication Engineering from Osaka University, Suita, Japan, in 1985, 1987, and 1994, respectively. Since 1995, he has been with Okayama Prefectural University, Soja, Japan, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering. His interests include algebraic coding theory, error-control schemes, random access protocols, and the analysis of communication systems. He is a Member of IEEE, the Institute of Electronics, Information, and Communication Engineers (IEICE), and the Japan Association for Developmental Education (JADE).
