Biography	Tomoaki Toda received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1994, 1996, and 1999, respectively. Since 1999, he has been with the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science, Sagamihara, Japan and responsible for RF and optical telecommunication technologies of missions of the institute. His current research interests are in deep space communication systems using both RF and optical signals and applications of wireless communication technologies for the innovation of spacecraft design.
