Biography
Pierre Siohan received the PhD degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST),
Paris, France, in 1989. In 1977 he joined the Centre Commun d\'Etudes de Télédiffusion et Télécommunications (CCETT),
Rennes, where his activities were first concerned with the communication theory and its application to the design of
broadcasting systems. Between 1984 and 1997, he was in charge of the Mathematical and Signal Processing Group. Since September
1997, he has been an Expert Member in the R&D division of France Télécom working in the Broadband Wireless Access
Laboratory. His current research interests are in the areas of filter bank design for communication systems and joint
source-channel coding.
