Biography
George T. Karetsos received his diploma in electrical and computer engineering in 1992 and his Ph.D. in telecommunication systems in 1996, both from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He is currently an associate professor in the Information Technology and Telecommunications Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa, Greece and a research associate at the Technological Research Center of Thessaly, Greece. He has participated in many European and national research projects dealing with the optimization of protocols and operations as well as the efficient design and management of advanced services in fixed and wireless networks. He has served as a member of technical committees and as a reviewer for various international conferences and journals. His research interests are in the areas of active networking, nomadic computing, performance evaluation, and resource management for fixed and wireless networks.
