Biography
Dr. Muhammad Tawalbeh has obtained his PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from University of Ottawa, ON, Canada in 2013. His dissertation focused on ceramic membranes synthesis, characterization, gas separation and modeling. Currently, he is working as an assistant professor at the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering Department at the University of Sharjah. Dr. Tawalbeh teaches Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Introduction to Energy Science and Technology and Statics and Dynamics courses. Dr. Tawalbeh research activities focus on renewable energy and sustainable environment applications. In particular, preparation and characterizations of membranes for fuel cells applications and carbon dioxide capture, development of a solar powered membrane desalination processes, performance enhancement of solar thermal collectors and solar photovoltaic systems using nanofluids, utilizing solar and geothermal energies in absorption chillers.
