Biography
Vahid Tabataba Vakili received the BS degree from Sharif University of Technology,
Tehran, Iran, in 1970, the MS degree from the University of Manchester, Manchester,
U.K., in 1973, and the PhD degree from the University of Bradford, Bradford, U.K.,
in 1977, all in Electrical Engineering. In 1985, he joined the Department of Electrical
Engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran. In 1997, he was
promoted as Professor. He has served as the Head of the Communications
Engineering Department and as the Head of postgraduate studies. His research interests
are in the areas of mobile cellular systems, interference cancellation for CDMA systems,
ultra-wideband communication systems, satellite communication systems, and space–time
processing and coding.
