Broadcasting is an elementary operation in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET). However, due to the “broadcast storm problem”, it causes decrease in network performance because of serious redundancy, contention and collisions. Probabilistic approach can be used to reduce the impact of these problems. Besides using a fixed probabilistic value, using multiple p values can also help to reduce these problems. In this paper, we will analyze the effects of using multiple p values, 4p, 6p, and 8p, with different parameters. Node speed, pause time and density will be used to compare these multiple p values. We will use ns-2 simulation to show the effects of these parameters. As outcome, we will see the effects of these parameters with multiple p values.
