A two-point wireless transmission module and its performance is presented. The system uses ISM 869 MHz band, and employs Modbus communication protocol. The system architecture, the design of the module and performance measurements are discussed. In order to keep the cost within acceptable limits, commercial-off-shelf components are used in the design. Simplicity and a low-cost are the main objectives.
