Abstract This paper presents a multilayer broadband proximity-coupled patch antenna operate at 5.5 GHz. A microstrip line feed was used to join the patch through proximity couple. The same structure has been used to design two others antennas working at 4.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz. There were three important parameters involve in this design; resonant frequency, dielectric constant and thickness of the material. The performance of the antenna was investigated using Computer Simulation Technology (CST) software. The simulation results of return loss, VSWR and farfield were shown in this paper.
