Abstract
Developments based on emerging technologies and supported by 5G are the cornerstones of strengthening innovation ecosystem and socio-economic welfare of any country. In fact, 5G communication technology is already touching variety of industries, from health care and advanced manufacturing to transportation, from entertainment to smart cities, entertainment and retail, just to mention few. In this paper, we present an overview of 5G requirements, technologies to enable 5G, potential use cases and global supply chain for 5G communications technology that will define next two decades.
